how long does my dog have to wear this damn satellite dish necklace?
he was just neutered and they gave him this thing to wear around his neck to keep him from licking but they didnt say how long he has to wear it.
All my dogs have been neutered or spayed and never wore a collar. Blue had to wear one after eye surgery. I would take it off if you are with him, or on a walk but put it on if he's alone, and at night. Any time that you might not see him licking at his wound. There is also 'bitter yuck' that is not alcohol based so it doesn't burn around wounds. I wouldn't put it directly on the incision but around it.
